Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Glorious Superior (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jim Beckett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Glorious Superior!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 33 - 18 - 3, fighting out of New York, Jim Beckett!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Trevor Gratis and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice uppercut there from Beckett.


It looks like Glorious Superior has been cut.
Beckett staying out of range there.
And Beckett tries to counter it with a takedown but Superior pushes his down on his head and steps out.
The fighters circling - Beckett throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Superior avoids the body shot from Beckett.
Superior is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Beckett.
Beckett dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Superior. That did some damage!
Superior swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Superior throws out a loose jab but Beckett uses good head movement to avoid it.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Superior crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Beckett - the referee stops the clock and Superior gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Beckett. Superior manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Beckett throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Superior stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Beckett tries a head kick but it misses.
Beckett fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Superior.
A big left from Beckett misses.
Beckett tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Superior was well out of range. Poor timing from Beckett.
Beckett throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Beckett misses with an uppercut.
Beckett tries for a takedown but Superior sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Beckett takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Beckett throws a hook but Superior blocks it.
Beckett throws a wild body kick that Superior sees coming a mile off.
Superior appears to be looking for a big counter.
Superior swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Superior is looking to wear down Beckett with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

Beckett's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Beckett connects with a good right hand that stumbles Superior. Superior circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Superior has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Beckett is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Superior.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Superior was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.

A jab from Beckett finds it's way through Superior's defenses.


Superior is rocked!
Beckett lands with a big right hook that stumbles Superior - he's out on his feet here! Beckett follows up with another monster hook that separates Superior from consciousness! Superior falls, almost in slow motion to the canvas! Beckett stands and admires his work as the crowd go wild.

A relieved looking Jim Beckett thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
