Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Joe Bailey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joey Troublefield (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Troublefield has chosen Hell Song - Sum 41 as his entrance music. On his way into the cage it seems that Joe Bailey has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Joe Bailey seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bailey ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Troublefield moves away.
Bailey throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Troublefield.
Bailey will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Troublefield throws the kick towards the body but Bailey avoids it.

Troublefield tries to keep at a distance but Bailey has taken the fight into the clinch.

Bailey breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

I was talking to Bailey's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Troublefield is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Bailey is defending well for now.

Troublefield crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Bailey - the referee stops the clock and Troublefield gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Bailey. Troublefield manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Troublefield accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Troublefield drops back, looking for a kneebar! Bailey looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Bailey looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Bailey!

Bailey fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Troublefield manages to avoid it.
