Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Naruto Sagemode (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nik Nunes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nik Nunes!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sagemode swings widly with a right hand

and Nunes counters with a shoot takedown. Sagemode fights it but they end up in guard.
Sagemode pulls Nunes in close to his closed guard and prevents Nunes from doing any damage or advancing position.
Sagemode wants to sweep but no luck.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sagemode is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Nunes's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Nunes's back!

Nunes avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Nunes shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Sagemode sprawls well. Sagemode wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Nunes gets slowly back to his feet.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Sagemode fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Nunes, pushing him back against the cage.

Nunes has Sagemode pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Sagemode manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Nunes blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Nunes's coach down at Bi-Polar Asylum LV's #1 Public Training Center was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Nunes's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Nunes goes for a double leg but Sagemode avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Sagemode continues to drive forward.

Sagemode throws a counter high kick but Nunes was just alert enough to avoid it.
Nunes is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Sagemode.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Nunes throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Sagemode's waist but Sagemode gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Nunes off to one side.
Sagemode stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Sagemode wants it to stay on the feet.

Sagemode comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Nunes has his takedown stuffed
and Sagemode finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
Nunes closes this distance looking for a takedown but Sagemode circles away.
Naruto Sagemode is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Nunes takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Sagemode throws a nice looking combination but Nunes bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Nunes is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Nunes decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Sagemode scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Nunes manages to mount him!

Nunes goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Sagemode turns into him and now he's in Nunes's guard.

Naruto Sagemode showed his dominance in that final round.
