Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Achilles Leonidas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Finkle John (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Leonidas comes to the cage accompanied by Best of Me. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
John lands a right hook to the body.
Leonidas misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Leonidas tried to score with a low kick but John checks it.
John misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Leonidas.
Leonidas is looking to clinch but John is avoiding it.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
John throws a lazy right hand but Leonidas sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Leonidas wants to slow John down by chopping away at his legs.
Leonidas takes a jab right on the kisser.
John fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Leonidas misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
John doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
John has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Leonidas is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Achilles Leonidas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Leonidas pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Leonidas throws a series of punches but John moves out of range.
Leonidas ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts John, as that shot connected.
Leonidas throws a head kick but John moves out of range.
Leonidas is breathing heavily.
Leonidas throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by John.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
That kick from John tenderised Leonidas's leg. Leonidas is trying to keep his angry face on.
Leonidas tries to clinch up but John circles away and keeps his distance.
Leonidas throws a sloppy head kick and John moves out of range easily.
Leonidas throws a right and a left that John avoids nicely.
A nice inside leg kick there by John. That's going to slow Leonidas down.
John tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Leonidas was well out of range. Poor timing from John.

That's one minute gone in the round.
John jabs Leonidas to the body, keeping him at a distance.
A decent looking body kick lands there for John.
John scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
John throws the left hand but Leonidas avoids the punch easily.
John bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Leonidas's head backwards.
John scores with a kick to the body.
Leonidas takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
John is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Leonidas.
John thows a left - swing and a miss!
Leonidas throws a head kick that misses.
John keeps the fight on the outside.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
A jab lands there for John.
Leonidas defending well as John loads up on a big left hand.
Leonidas uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from John.
John throws a hook but Leonidas blocks it.
John lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
John connects with the punch.

Leonidas is rocked!
John throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Oh Leonidas is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Finkle John was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
