The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gatti uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Laraque.
Laraque closes the distance but Gatti moves to the side
and Gatti counters with a thumping low kick.
Georges Laraque seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A nice inside leg kick there by Gatti. That's going to slow Laraque down.
Gatti cracks a nice hook into Laraque's ribs.
Laraque throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Gatti sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Gatti tries to counter with a takedown but Laraque is quick to defend against it.

Gatti connects with a body shot that sends Laraque's belly button to the back.
Gatti ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Gatti scores with a leg kick.

Gatti appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Laraque has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Laraque there as he acknowledges the shot.

Laraque closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Gatti to the mat! Gatti manages to get full guard.

Gatti has his feet on Laraque's thighs here. He's pushed Laraque off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Laraque screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
