Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ross Swann (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Martinez Eluard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Swann comes to the cage accompanied by Corey Hart - I Wear My Sunglasses At Night. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Eluard misses with a few strikes there.
Swann ducks under a wild hook from Eluard.
We've been informed that Eluard has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Eluard misses the shot to the body.
Swann tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Swann comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Swann throws a half hearted mid kick.
Eluard bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Eluard changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Swann staying out of range there.
Eluard misses with a series of wild punches.
A clash of legs there as Eluard blocks the low kick.
Swann takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Swann misses with a looping left.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Eluard throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Eluard scores with a jab. Swann acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

Eluard takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

Swann looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Swann throws a head kick but Eluard moves out of range.
Eluard with the counter takedown but Swann avoids it easily.
A slow jab from Eluard misses its intended target.
Swann lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Eluard swings for the body but Swann moves out of range.
Good leg kick by Swann there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Swann uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Eluard.
Eluard avoids the body shot from Swann.
Swann scores with the left hand. Eluard knows he should have avoided that one.
Eluard misses with a straight right.
Eluard throws a one two combo.
The fighters circling - Swann throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Swann throws a leg kick but Eluard sees it coming and moves out of range.
The fighters circle momentarily. Eluard darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Swann cracks Eluard with an open hand slap.

Eluard decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Eluard is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Swann doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Eluard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Swann is defending against the submission attempts here by Eluard.
Swann wants to get back to full guard.

Eluard is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Eluard remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Eluard has hold of Swann's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Swann tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Eluard cranks the arm and Swann screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Swann, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
