The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The Kid gets caught flat footed, as Lavrov shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
The Kid wants to sweep but no luck.
Lavrov has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Lavrov wants to control from the top but The Kid keeps moving.

The Kid is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Lavrov postures up in The Kid's guard and throws a big left but The Kid blocks it.
The Kid wants to get back to his feet but Lavrov is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Lavrov is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lavrov tries to free his leg and advance position but The Kid is retaining full guard.
Lavrov is looking to work some ground and pound but The Kid has wrist control.
Lavrov stands up over The Kid, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
