PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tat Moh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlo Alvarez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Tat Moh has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Tat Moh seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 26 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Tat Moh!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 10 - 1, fighting out of New York, Carlo Alvarez!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Elvis Blanc and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alvarez keeps the fight on the outside.
Alvarez loads up on a big right hand but Moh slips the punch.
The fight stays on the outside here - Moh looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Alvarez is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Nice sprawl there from Alvarez as Moh shoots in.
Alvarez uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.


It looks like Tat Moh has been cut.
Moh looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Tat Moh seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Alvarez looks to throw the jab but Moh is out of range.

Moh has taken the fight to the clinch.

A nice side step and Alvarez releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Moh is defended easily by Alvarez.

Moh tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Alvarez swivels and escapes.

Alvarez tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Moh's elbow.

Moh looks up at the clock and then as Alvarez takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Moh smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Moh tries to roll over but Alvarez keeps him under control.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Some bone on bone action there as Moh checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Moh has Alvarez pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Moh pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Alvarez tumbling to the mat - Moh dives into Alvarez's guard.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Alvarez uses his free foot to push down on Moh's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Moh.
The referee warns Moh that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Alvarez has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Moh's face.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Moh sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
