Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Cormac Gutz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Quian Kane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Gutz, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Gutz keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Kane.
Gutz misses with a wild body shot.
Nice defenses there by Kane.

Gutz gets tackled into the cage by Kane. Kane maintains the clinch.
Kane misses with a short punch on the inside.
A short uppercut from Kane.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Kane.
Kane lands an elbow inside.
Kane swings away with an uppercut that misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A right hook to the body lands for Gutz.
Gutz blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Gutz breaks the clinch.
Kane pulls out of a head kick attempt.
An attempted straight right counter from Gutz misses the target.

Gutz swings for the body but Kane moves out of range.
Kane throws a right hand that misses
and Gutz counters with a nice low kick that buckles Kane's knee momentarily.
Kane sizes up Gutz with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

and Kane holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Gutz scores with a hook to the body.
Gutz makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.

Gutz's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Kane keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Gutz lands a leg kick that knocks Kane off balance momentarily.
Gutz gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Kane.
Kane on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Gutz. Gutz obviously looking to wear him down.
Gutz throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Kane unleashes a big counter combination but Gutz bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Kane checks a low kick from Gutz.
Gutz blocks a head kick by Kane.
Gutz connects with a good right hand that stumbles Kane. Kane circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Gutz throws a predictable looking body shot
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Gutz lands with a kick to the temple. Kane shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Gutz throws a shot from downtown. Kane moves away and avoids it.
A thudding body kick lands there by Kane!

Kane closes the distance and clinches.

Gutz pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

and Gutz counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

Kane moves into range and connects with a jab.
Kane scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Kane closes the distance and pushes Gutz back into the cage.
Kane fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

Gutz's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Kane swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Gutz.
Gutz throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Kane counters with a thumping low kick.
Kane avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Kane drives through and clinches with Gutz against the cage.
Gutz blocks a body shot from Kane.
Gutz pushes Kane back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Kane misses with a hook from the clinch.

Gutz lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Kane backwards.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Kane.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kane swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Kane swings wildly with an uppercut but Gutz uses good head movement to avoid it.

A close round but Quian Kane will probably get the nod.

Kane throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Kane throws a series of punches but Gutz avoids them all with ease.

and Gutz takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Cormac Gutz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kane throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Gutz counters with a straight right hand.
Gutz lands with a right that hurts Kane. Kane looks to clinch but Gutz throws a short knee that drops Kane. This one is all over!
