Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Johnie Johnston!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brad Miller!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Cecil Peabody and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Miller throws a lazy head kick
and Johnston counters with a left and a right that stings Miller.
Miller takes a swing at Johnston's ribcage but misses.
Johnston showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Miller.
As Miller looks to move away, Johnston throws a big counter combo but Miller just gets out of the way.
Miller missing with a left hand there. Johnston was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Johnston is looking for a counter combo.
Miller blocks a head kick by Johnston.
Miller throws a shot from downtown. Johnston moves away and avoids it.

Johnston gets tackled into the cage by Miller. Miller maintains the clinch.
Johnston throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Johnston tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Miller avoids it.

Miller decides to pull guard.
Johnston makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Johnston throwing strikes from guard but Miller blocks nicely.

Miller utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Johnston stands up over Miller, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Johnston accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Johnston keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Miller's head.
Johnston won't allow Miller to sweep him here.
Johnston lands a couple of elbows.
Johnston really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Johnston with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Miller utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Johnston lands a couple of digs.
Johnston has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Miller has an active guard here but Johnston has managed to pass into half guard.

Johnston working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Johnston seems to be looking for submissions.

Johnston slips a nice elbow through Miller's hands, connecting with Miller's forehead.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Johnston lands a nice short elbow.

Johnston will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Miller is in all sorts of trouble here.

Johnston is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Johnston!
