The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Sam Margolis and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pettis connects with a crisp jab.
Conlon drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Pettis takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Conlon trying to control the position but Pettis is working away.
Pettis is pushing Conlon's head away, looking to escape. Conlon manages to hold on to the position though.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Conlon grinds an elbow into Pettis's temple.

Conlon wants to lay and pray for a moment but Pettis keeps working.

Conlon lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Pettis down.
Pettis dodges the ground and pound from Conlon.
Pettis managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Conlon.
Conlon working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Conlon passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Pettis!
Pettis is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Conlon with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Pettis is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Poor strikes thrown by Conlon there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Pettis really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Conlon. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Conlon has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Pettis's face.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Conlon can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Pettis is looking to escape.

Pettis is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Conlon locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Pettis is forced to tap!
