Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Granat Xhaka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Benjamin Tay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tay has chosen PONPONPON as his entrance music. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Granat Xhaka!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Benjamin Tay!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Cecil Peabody and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tay keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Xhaka seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Xhaka wants to clinch up but Tay keeps it at a distance.
Tay tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Xhaka doesn't manage to clinch there - Tay circles away.
Xhaka fails in his attempt to clinch.

Xhaka tries to close the distance and clinch up but Tay swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Xhaka connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Tay drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Xhaka defends it well.

Xhaka tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Tay paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Tay drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Xhaka defends it well.
Xhaka tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Tay decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Xhaka's guard.
Tay tries to free his leg and advance position but Xhaka is retaining full guard.
Xhaka wants to stand up but Tay is controlling him.

Tay thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Tay pushes down on Xhaka's leg and manages to get into half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Tay is working for a kimura but Xhaka is defending it quite comfortably.

Tay is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Xhaka sees it coming and defends easily.
Xhaka is looking for a sweep. Tay is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Tay uses his free foot to push down on Xhaka's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Xhaka.
Tay manages to capitalize on a mistake by Xhaka to take his back!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Tay keeps control of the position as Xhaka tries to break free.
Well, with Tay on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Xhaka is tapping out... Can he escape the position?

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Tay working for the rear naked choke here. He's got one arm under but Xhaka is defending well. A couple of punches soften him up though and Tay has tightened the hold! This one could be all over! It is! Xhaka taps out!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Benjamin Tay!
Benjamin Tay decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
