Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Baader Meinhof (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brandon Vicky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brandon Vicky acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Baader Meinhof!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brandon Vicky!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Alan Glass and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Meinhof.
Vicky tries to counter with a clinch but Meinhof shakes him off and moves away.
Vicky looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Meinhof gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Meinhof manages to break the clinch.
Meinhof fails with the takedown.
Vicky throws a counter combo.

Vicky gets tackled into the cage by Meinhof. Meinhof maintains the clinch.
Meinhof misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Vicky.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Vicky is pressed up against the cage. Meinhof has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Vicky down to the mat. Vicky avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

No joy there for Meinhof, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Vicky throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Meinhof counters with a three punch combo that has Vicky backing up. Vicky nods at Meinhof to acknowledge the strikes.

Meinhof leaves Vicky with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Vicky blocks the body kick.

Vicky gets tackled into the cage by Meinhof. Meinhof maintains the clinch.
A right hook to the body lands for Meinhof.

Meinhof jumps into guard, dragging Vicky to the mat.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Vicky working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
Meinhof is trying to control the position but Vicky postures up.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Meinhof is pulling down on Vicky's head. It's preventing any offense from Vicky, at least for the moment.
Meinhof wants to stand but Vicky is controlling the position.

Meinhof is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Meinhof has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Vicky can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Meinhof moves into the clinch successfully.

Meinhof knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Vicky on the ground.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Meinhof misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Vicky changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.

Meinhof closes the distance and clinches.

Meinhof manages to break the clinch.

Meinhof shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Meinhof clinches up with Vicky and pushes him back against the cage.

Meinhof has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Vicky regains guard immediately.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Meinhof closes the distance and pushes Vicky back into the cage.

Meinhof pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Meinhof closes the distance and clinches up with Vicky, looking for a takedown. Meinhof pushes Vicky against the cage but Vicky circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Vicky stuffs the takedown attempt from Meinhof. Meinhof gets slowly back to his feet.
Vicky unleashes a big counter combination but Meinhof bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.

Meinhof unloads a knee to the mid-section. Vicky lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.

Meinhof escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Vicky gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Vicky throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Vicky tries to clinch but Meinhof is having none of it.

Vicky changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
