The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kane scores with a sloppy right hand. Manjuelez should have avoided that one.

Kane closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Kane keeps control of Manjuelez as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

It looks like Pablo Manjuelez has been cut.
Manjuelez drops down looking for an ankle pick but Kane pulls his leg out and moves away.
Kane moves out of range as Manjuelez strikes.
Kane attempts a counter takedown but Manjuelez avoids it well and moves away.
Kane scores with a decent looking hook.
Kane tries a head kick but it misses.
Manjuelez steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Kane.

Manjuelez throws a series of punches but Kane avoids them all with ease.

Manjuelez pushes Kane away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Kane gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Manjuelez is not content to let Kane control the position.

Manjuelez moves in looking to clinch but Kane pushes him off.

Kane cracks Manjuelez with an open hand slap.
Kane catches Manjuelez with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Kane pushes Manjuelez away with a front kick.
Kane lands with a good body shot.
Kane stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Kane catches Manjuelez with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Kane lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Pablo Manjuelez is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Kane misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
It seemed like Manjuelez was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Manjuelez tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Manjuelez tries to close the distance and clinch but Kane swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Kane misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Kane lands with a nice body kick.
Kane lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Kane pushes Manjuelez away with a front kick.
Kane cracks Manjuelez with an open hand slap.

Kane looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Kane content to control rather than advance.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kane is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Manjuelez sees it coming and defends easily.

Still in half guard, Kane seems content to control.

Kane works his foot free and advances to mount.

Manjuelez really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kane. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Kane has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Manjuelez has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
