The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rogers decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Holland kicks off Rogers and gets to his feet.
Rogers misses with a double jab

so Holland counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Holland is standing up over Rogers. Rogers looks to escape but Holland dives into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Holland passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Rogers!
Rogers wants to hold on but Holland pushes him away.
Holland lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Holland lands a big elbow.
Rogers tries to lock up and control but Holland gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Holland fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Holland takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
