The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gesinger looks to score with a jab to the body but Horse is just out of range.
Horse slips a jab from Gesinger.
A quick step to the side and Horse tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Horse ducks under a wild hook from Gesinger.
Gesinger throws the left hand but Horse avoids the punch easily.
Horse moves away from the strike by Gesinger.
Horse half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Gesinger smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Horse uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Gesinger.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Horse has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Horse there as he acknowledges the shot.
Humberto Gesinger is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Gesinger lands with an uppercut that bounces Horse off the cage and back into range.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Horse is defended easily by Gesinger.

Horse takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Horse fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Gesinger avoids it really well and circles away.

Gesinger sizes up Horse with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Horse uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Gesinger.
Horse thinks about countering with a body kick.
Gesinger throws a looping overhand right but Horse ducks down to avoid it.
The fighters circling - Gesinger throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Horse really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Gesinger creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Gesinger throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Horse throws a head punch that misses.
Gesinger blocks an uppercut.

That's time! Horse's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Gesinger throws an overhand right that lands on Horse's shoulder, as Horse tries to avoid the shot.
Horse shoots for a double leg takedown but Gesinger sprawls well. He's pushed Horse's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

and Horse counters with a shoot takedown. Gesinger fights it but they end up in guard.

Horse drops back looking for a leg! Gesinger is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Gesinger manages to kick Horse off! Horse jumps back into Gesinger's guard.

Gesinger controls Horse momentarily but Horse frees himself.
Gesinger has momentary wrist control but Horse slips an elbow through the middle.
Horse chips away with some ground and pound.
Horse passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Gesinger tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Horse wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Gesinger has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Horse in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Gesinger is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
