The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tucker misses with a jab, cross combination.
Papin fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Papin lands with a nice combination. Tucker backs away looking to recover.
Papin has been working on his boxing with his coaches at JP´s School Of Excellence in the buildup to the fight.

An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Papin.

Papin misses with a punch on the inside.
Tucker seems to have recovered his senses.
Tucker is trying to push Papin away but Papin has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Tucker takes a shot to the head.
Tucker has a couple of punches blocked by Papin.
Tucker swings wildly with an uppercut but Papin uses good head movement to avoid it.
Papin scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Papin lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Papin throws a head punch that misses.

Papin lands a hook that snaps the head of Tucker backwards.
Tucker lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Papin misses with a short punch on the inside.
Tucker misses with the head strike.
Papin is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Papin swings wildly with an uppercut but Tucker uses good head movement to avoid it.

Papin gets through Tucker's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Tucker tries a body shot but Papin blocks it.
Papin creates some distance for himself and unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Tucker's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Tucker drops to his knees and Papin pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jean Pierre Papin!
A relieved looking Jean Pierre Papin thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
