PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Grey Worm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Albert Fish (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Worm's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Der Kaptain. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 32 - 23 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Albert Fish!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, David Schapiro and Joseph Jones.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fish scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Fish lands a nice shot to the body.
Albert Fish seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fish thuds his right hand into Worm's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Fish looks to throw the jab but Worm is out of range.
Fish misses with an uppercut.

Fish changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Worm looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Worm tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Fish trying to control the position but Worm is working away.
You can see the frustration on Worm's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Fish is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Worm has escaped the position, nice work there.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Worm struggling a bit here.
Worm is trying to get back to half guard.
Fish in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Worm manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Fish is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Fish is working for a kimura but Worm is defending it quite comfortably.

Fish is keen to just control but Worm is a slippery customer.
Worm trying to hold on to Fish's head to control him but Fish postures up.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Fish is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Worm!
Fish thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
Fish throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
Worm really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Worm wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Fish.
Fish throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.
Poor strikes thrown by Fish there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Worm tries to hold on but Fish pushes him away.
Worm keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Fish lands with some strikes.

Worm blocking the ground and pound.
Worm wants to hold on but Fish pushes him away.
Worm sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Fish looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Fish looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Worm trying to hold on to Fish's head to control him but Fish postures up.

Fish is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Worm doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Fish.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Fish sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Worm defending well though.
Worm gets back to full guard.
Worm seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Fish content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Fish in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Fish trying to control but Worm is working from the bottom.
Fish with a flurry of punches that miss.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Albert Fish dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Worm moves forwards but Fish connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Worm uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Fish.
Worm feinted with a counter takedown.

Worm manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Fish on his heels. He'll look to pass Fish's guard now, I'm sure.
Albert Fish has got the better of the ground game so far.

Fish looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Fish manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Worm manages to get himself to full guard.

Worm working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Fish doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Fish manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Fish is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Worm has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Fish is looking to defend but Worm has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Fish! Worm pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Fish taps out and this one is all over!
