Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Justin Time (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dick Beater (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Justin Time has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Justin Time!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Dick Beater!
The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Daniel Franklin and Michael Johnstone.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Beater forces Time back against the cage and clinches.
Time misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Beater.

Beater manages to break the clinch.
Time swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Beater holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Beater has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Time regains guard immediately.

Time is looking for a triangle but Beater pushes his legs off easily.

Beater stands up from Time's guard - Beater perhaps looking for a knockout.
Beater throws a head kick but Time moves out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Beater shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Beater was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Beater looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Time is avoiding damage well.

Beater is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Time knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
You can see the frustration on Time's face as Beater controls the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Beater unleashes a big counter combination but Time bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.

Beater is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Time looking to hit a scissor sweep but Beater is one step ahead there.
Beater stays in close to Time's body and controls the position.

Beater gets to his feet - Time follows without any prompting.

Time has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Beater manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Time manages to get himself to full guard.

Time lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Justin Time is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Beater takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Beater winds up and cracks Time with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Beater seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Time does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Dick Beater showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. And we move into the final round!

Beater is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Time can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Time wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Beater.
