The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A lazy left from Vena finds it's target.

It looks like Tomaszek Adam has been cut.
Vena throws a jab when Adam was well out of range.
Vena throws out a powerful jab.
Vena connects with a leg kick. Adam looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Vena connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Joe Vena seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Adam throws a left and a right that both miss
and Vena connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Vena tests Adam's chin there with a solid looking shot.
A left lands for Vena.
Vena feints a jab promting Adam to slip. Vena then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Adam slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Vena is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Vena works the jab nicely.
Adam walks into a stiff left hand from Vena.
Vena checks a leg kick.
Vena has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

Adam uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Vena.
Adam attempts a counter takedown but Vena avoids it well and moves away.
Vena is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Vena throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Adam throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
It seemed like Vena was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Adam takes a swing at Vena's ribcage but misses.
Vena pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Adam changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Joe Vena is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Adam avoids the body shot from Vena.
Adam feinted with a counter takedown.
Vena lands the left hand.
Vena scores with a crisp jab that stopped Adam in his tracks.
Vena fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

Adam takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Adam fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Adam swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Vena looks like he wants to counter punch here.

Vena misses with a double jab.
Adam takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

Adam is rocked!

Tomaszek Adam's cut is getting worse.
Adam is sent reeling backwards by a solid uppercut. He barely regains his balance and Vena moves in for the kill throwing a continuous barrage of punches that force the ref to step in.
