Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Chong Starbowski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pierangelo Manzaroli (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Starbowski comes to the cage accompanied by Trad Thai Music.. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Winston Alpacca and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Manzaroli slips under a jab.
Starbowski bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Starbowski leaves Manzaroli with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Some wild striking there from Starbowski.
Starbowski connects with a leg kick. Manzaroli looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Manzaroli shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Starbowski sprawls well. Starbowski wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Manzaroli gets slowly back to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Manzaroli uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Starbowski.

Chong Starbowski is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Manzaroli tries to close the distance and clinch but Starbowski swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
It looked like Starbowski wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Manzaroli takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

Starbowski tests Manzaroli's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Manzaroli takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Chong Starbowski seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Starbowski clobbers Manzaroli with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Starbowski looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Manzaroli dodges the punch combination from Starbowski.
Manzaroli is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Manzaroli ducks under a wild hook from Starbowski.
Manzaroli shoots in for a takedown but Starbowski shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Starbowski moves into range and throws a big uppercut. OH! Manzaroli goes down! Can Starbowski finish him!?

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Starbowski tries to stand but Manzaroli is controlling from the bottom.

Manzaroli is working an open guard so Starbowski takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
A jab-cross combination lands for Starbowski and sends Manzaroli crashing to the mat! Starbowski follows him down to the mat - Manzaroli regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!
It looks like Pierangelo Manzaroli has been cut.

Starbowski tries to stand but his arm is trapped.

Starbowski stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Manzaroli to get to his feet.
Starbowski will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Starbowski looks to land a combination. Manzaroli sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
