PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Hilton Mann (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ping Pau (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pau has chosen Wai Khru Ram Muay as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pau throws a combination. Mann tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

Mann lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
Mann tries to close the distance and clinch but Pau swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Mann throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Pau stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Ping Pau seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Mann wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

As Mann backs off Pau throws a huge counter combo but Mann manages to avoid it all.

Mann feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Mann seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Pau for as long as he can get away with.
Pau wants to get back to his feet but Mann is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Ping Pau comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.

Ping Pau spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
