Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 21 - 19 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tony Abbot!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 12 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Adam Breneman!
The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Sergei Dronov and Illya Tyunina.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Breneman closes the distance looking to clinch
and Abbot counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Abbot dodges the punch combination from Breneman.
Breneman looks to score with a jab to the body but Abbot is just out of range.
Breneman misses with a jab, cross combination.
A little feinted left hand from Abbot on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Breneman misses the shot to the body.
Breneman lands a nice shot that snaps Abbot's head back.
Breneman lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Abbot circles away quickly and effectively.
Breneman misses with a two punch combination.
Abbot is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sloppy strikes from Breneman. Those never looked like landing.
Breneman looks to land a body kick but Abbot moved away.
Breneman pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Abbot back to the cage. Breneman follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.


It looks like Tony Abbot has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Breneman works over Abbot's head and body with a nice combination.
Abbot is breathing heavily.

Breneman throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Abbot was covering up waiting for the punch and Breneman finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Abbot is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Barbell Brigade - $1000 that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Breneman not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Breneman is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Abbot is rocked!
Breneman loads up on a big left hand. Abbot felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Breneman looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Abbot can't hide his disappointment, as Breneman celebrates the victory.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Adam Breneman!
Adam Breneman was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
