The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGregor misses with a combination

and Lara counters with a nice double leg into guard.

McGregor has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Lara off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
McGregor tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
McGregor lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Lara at a distance.

McGregor looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

McGregor rushes Lara and presses him up against the cage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Lara tries to pull guard but McGregor holds him up against the cage and eventually Lara drops back down to his feet.
Lara tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and McGregor avoids it.

Lara manages to work his way to half guard, despite McGregor's best efforts.
McGregor winds up and cracks Lara with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
McGregor thows a huge punch but Lara dodges it nicely.
McGregor is stalling here. Lara is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! McGregor seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Lara has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Lara goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, McGregor has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Lara but great work by McGregor.

McGregor in side control here. He's dropped a big elbow there and Lara looks hurt! Oh, he is hurt! McGregor turns on the heat and pounds him out for a TKO victory! Good killer instinct there!

A less than humble Conor McGregor misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
