The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Curry scores with a kick to the body.
Hardpickle looks to score with a jab to the body but Curry is just out of range.
Hardpickle takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

It looks like Abraxas J Hardpickle has been cut.
Curry lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.

Hardpickle has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Hardpickle paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Curry lands a nice hook to Hardpickle's body. Hardpickle takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Abraxas J Hardpickle seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Hardpickle sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Curry's corner calls for a 1-2. Curry obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Curry turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Curry creates a bit of distance and cracks Hardpickle with a big uppercut! Hardpickle goes down! The referee pushes Curry away into a neutral corner and starts the count. 4,5,6,7. Will Hardpickle make it up in time? He's still flopping around all over the place! The referee has called off the fight! Curry takes it!
