The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Platje uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Ekaku.
Ekaku throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Platje sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Ekaku keeps the fight on the outside.
Platje tries to clinch up but Ekaku circles away and keeps his distance.
Platje takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Platje is looking to clinch but Ekaku is avoiding it.
Ekaku waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Platje.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Platje closes the distance and clinches.
Ekaku manages to pull guard.
Platje wants to stand but Ekaku is controlling his posture from full guard.
Ekaku is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Platje has his hands clasped together but Ekaku extends and breaks Platje's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Ekaku.
