The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Koch keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
A chopping leg kick lands by Lynn.
Koch cracks Lynn with an open hand slap.
Lynn throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Nice defenses there by Lynn.
Lynn looks for a takedown but Koch sprawls well.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Koch! But no joy.
Koch thows a left - swing and a miss!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Lynn.
As Lynn backs off Koch throws a huge counter combo but Lynn manages to avoid it all.
Lynn missing with a left hand there. Koch was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lynn throws a body shot but no joy.
Koch misses with a jab, cross combination.
Koch throws a big shot that misses.
Sloppy strikes from Lynn. Those never looked like landing.
Lynn throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.

Lynn throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Koch.
Koch paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Koch throws a hook but Lynn blocks it.
Lynn fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Koch manages to avoid it.
Koch drops his hands momentarily and Lynn takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Koch throws a right hand that Lynn ducks under and follows up with a left that Lynn also avoids with ease.
Lynn misses with a body shot.
Lynn is looking to wear down Koch with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

Oooh a lovely combination from Lynn sends Koch down but not out. Lynn dives into side control looking to finish.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Lynn tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Lynn has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Koch is still in real trouble! Can Lynn finish him?
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Lynn tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Koch seems to have recovered his senses.

Lynn working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Lynn is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Koch can do anything to dispel that myth.
Lynn works to advance to full mount. Koch defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Lynn throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Koch has his hands clasped together but Lynn breaks the hold and Koch is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Lynn!
