Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Lawerence Spencer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, George Neri!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spencer defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Neri.
Neri fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Spencer is looking to counter with head kicks.
Neri shoots in but no luck this time.
Lawerence Spencer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of George Neri.

Neri has closed the distance and engaged Spencer in a clinch.

Neri is trying to control Spencer's posture but Spencer avoids it.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Neri is trying hard to land a takedown here. Spencer sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Neri throws a sloppy head kick and Spencer moves out of range easily.
Spencer attempts a counter takedown but Neri avoids it well and moves away.
Neri moves out of range of the leg kick from Spencer.
Neri shoots in looking for a takedown but Spencer manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Neri's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Spencer takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Spencer is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Neri can do to turn this around?

Neri shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Spencer as he jumps to the side.

Spencer attempts a counter takedown but Neri avoids it well and moves away.
George Neri seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Spencer stuffs the takedown attempt from Neri. Neri gets slowly back to his feet.
Neri tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Spencer defends well and Neri ends up having to push Spencer into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
