Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Baldur Leifsson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dylan Brando (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Leifsson kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Tyrkjaránid (Icelandic Folk Music). Baldur Leifsson looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Leifsson drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Leifsson with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Leifsson's corner is telling him to maintain position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Leifsson's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Leifsson is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Leifsson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Brando tries to avoid it but Leifsson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Brando to the ground. Brando escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Brando tries to score a power double leg takedown but Leifsson sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Brando somewhat.
Leifsson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Brando as he avoids it easily.

Leifsson has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Brando is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.
Brando changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Leifsson fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Brando throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Leifsson's waist but Leifsson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Brando off to one side.
Nice takedown defense from Leifsson. No joy for Brando on that attempt.
