Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Deshawn Shaw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Abdul Sheizar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Deshawn Shaw looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Abdul Sheizar!
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Peter Branson and Bart Greer.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shaw throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Shaw looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Sheizar is defended easily by Shaw.
Shaw misses with a head kick.
Shaw gets tackled into the cage by Sheizar. Sheizar maintains the clinch.
Sheizar works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Sheizar passes Shaw's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Still in half guard, Sheizar seems content to control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Shaw is looking to get back to is feet but Sheizar passes into side control.
Sheizar thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Shaw knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sheizar on the ground.
Sheizar in side control lands a decent elbow.

Sheizar controls the position from side control.
Sheizar working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Shaw is letting Sheizar control him for a moment.
Sheizar stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Sheizar gets a clinch.
Sheizar cracks Shaw with a nice body shot.

Sheizar lands a left hand that snaps the head of Shaw backwards.
Sheizar manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Sheizar pulls Shaw in to control the position.
Sheizar bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Shaw's guard.
Shaw really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Sheizar stays in close to Shaw's body and controls the position.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Shaw is striking off his back. Sheizar thinks nothing of it though and passes easily into half guard.
Sheizar seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sheizar frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Shaw tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Sheizar tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Sheizar lands a heavy elbow.
Sheizar takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
It looks like Sheizar might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Sheizar has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Sheizar postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Shaw looks a forlorn figure.
Shaw is rocked!
A big strike lands for Sheizar! That's really hurt Shaw and he's turned his back - Sheizar keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Sheizar jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Abdul Sheizar!
