The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vini fails in his attempt to clinch.

and Kahn counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Vini thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Vini goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Kahn has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Vini but great work by Kahn.
Kahn stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Vini shoots for a double leg takedown but Kahn sprawls well. He's pushed Vini's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
A quick step to the side and Kahn tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.

Good leg kick by Kahn there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Vini throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kahn's waist but Kahn gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Vini off to one side.
Vini has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Vini there as he acknowledges the shot.

Tyson Kahn decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
