Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jules Langley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and SJ Gamer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jules Langley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, SJ Gamer!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, John Roberts and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gamer gets the takedown into side control.

Langley sneaks out the side door and pushes Gamer away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
Gamer fails in his attempt to clinch.
Langley appears to be looking for a big counter.
Langley really is a fat lump.
Langley misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Gamer throws a series of punches but Langley avoids them all with ease.

Gamer closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Langley did well to prevent Gamer getting side control.

Langley has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Gamer is on him like a limpet, forcing Langley back against the cage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Langley pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Gamer throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Langley was covering up waiting for the punch and Gamer finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Langley is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Langley looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Langley keeping moving, preventing Gamer from controlling successfully.
Gamer wanted to stand there but Langley had control of the position.
Gamer wants to pass the guard but Langley is keeping the position.
Gamer controls from within his opponent's guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Gamer with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Gamer trying to control the position from guard on top but Langley is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Langley manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
Gamer is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Langley wants to stand but Gamer is controlling his posture from full guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Langley not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Langley gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Gamer feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Langley scrambles and gets back to his feet.

Langley gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Gamer stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.

Gamer tries to break the clinch but Langley is controlling the position.

Gamer has picked Langley up - he's going for a ride! Gamer dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Gamer wants to pass the guard but Langley is defending well.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jules Langley dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Gamer ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Langley really is built like a bowling ball. I wonder if he'd roll if you pushed him down a hill...

Gamer looking for a takedown here - he's got it.

Langley uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Langley throws a sloppy head kick
and Gamer counters with a left and a right that stings Langley.
Gamer lands with a kick to the ribs.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Gamer fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Langley sprawls well initially but Gamer persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Langley is staying active underneath Gamer, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Langley gets caught flat footed, as Gamer shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Langley is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Gamer wants to control from the top but Langley keeps moving.
Gamer might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Langley haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Langley kicks Gamer off and gets to his feet.

Gamer shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Gamer gets tackled into the cage by Langley. Langley maintains the clinch.

Langley ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Langley no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Gamer wants to control from the top but Langley keeps moving.

Langley manages to escape and get back to his feet!
Gamer misses with a head kick.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Gamer. Langley shrugs it off though.
SJ Gamer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Gamer fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Langley, pushing him back against the cage.
Gamer is trying to force a seperation but Langley has the dominant position.

Gamer is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Langley is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Gamer is defending well.

Gamer pulls guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Gamer is trying to hold Langley in close to prevent damage but Langley has managed to pass into half guard.

A close second round but SJ Gamer will probably get the nod - 10:9.

Langley has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.
Gamer scores with a one two! Langley had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.


It looks like Jules Langley has been cut.

Gamer is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Langley can't fight it off and eventually Gamer manages to take the fight to the floor. Langley looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Gamer must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Langley decides to pull guard.
Gamer looking to sit in guard and control but Langley gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

I would just about give that final round to SJ Gamer.
