Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Carter Snyder!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Uriel Ferdinand!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Alyssa Summers and Chad Campbell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Snyder instigates a clinch.
Snyder softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
Snyder really is a fat lump.
Snyder lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Ferdinand works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Snyder pulls Ferdinand in close to prevent any damage.
Snyder wants to stand up but Ferdinand is controlling him.

Ferdinand prevents Snyder from getting back to his feet.
Snyder controlling Ferdinand's posture.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ferdinand stands and steps away. Snyder gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Snyder rushes Ferdinand and presses him up against the cage.

Snyder using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Ferdinand has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Uriel Ferdinand seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Snyder closes the distance and clinches.

Ferdinand tightens his grip and picks Snyder up, before dumping him to the ground. Snyder manages to land in guard.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Snyder manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
Snyder lands a left hand.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Snyder makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Snyder is struggling to control the position.

Ferdinand works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

Snyder has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Ferdinand has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.

Snyder breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Snyder drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Snyder stands up and waves to Ferdinand to follow him.

Snyder gets the takedown into side control.

Snyder stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Snyder shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Snyder was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Snyder stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Snyder drives through with a takedown into guard.
Ferdinand is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Snyder dives into side control.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Ferdinand is looking for a sweep.

Snyder looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Snyder stands up and we're back to a striking position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Ferdinand closes the distance and pushes Snyder back into the cage.
A nice right hand lands inside from Snyder.
Snyder gets through Ferdinand's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Snyder pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Ferdinand stuffs the takedown.

Ferdinand gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Snyder to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Ferdinand is looking to stand back up but Snyder counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Ferdinand.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Carter Snyder dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Uriel Ferdinand's cut.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.



Snyder has closed the distance and engaged Ferdinand in a clinch.
Snyder scores with a nice hook to the head.

Snyder breaks from the clinch.
Ferdinand swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Snyder counters with a nice double leg into side control. Ferdinand won't be happy with that.
Ferdinand is looking to reverse the position.

Snyder is working to tighten his grip on Ferdinand's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Ferdinand has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Snyder is really squeezing tight and eventually Ferdinand passes out! Snyder breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:49 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Carter Snyder!
