The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Vanna closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Doyle really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Doyle is trying to escape the position but Vanna is controlling the position.
Vanna wants to stand but Doyle has his arm trapped.
A lull in the action here.

Vanna is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Doyle knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Doyle is looking for a sweep.

Vanna advances to mount.
Doyle is trying to escape the mount.
Vanna raining down hammerfists from mount.
Vanna with the ground and pound from mount.
Vanna lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Vanna tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Vanna has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Doyle tries to strike from the bottom but he's left himself exposed and Vanna has taken his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Vanna has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Doyle! Can he survive? No! He's out! Vanna gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
