Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Elbert Roth!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Josh Evans!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Roth enables Evans to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Roth manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Evans is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Roth might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Evans sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Roth's guard.
Roth is looking to get back to full guard here but Evans has managed to pass to side control instead.

Evans decides to take the fight back to the feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Roth on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Roth is trying hard to land a takedown here. Evans sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Evans stuffs the takedown attempt from Roth. Roth gets slowly back to his feet.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Evans throws a series of punches but Roth avoids them all with ease.

Evans fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Roth, pushing him back against the cage.
Roth prevents the takedown attempt.
Evans tries to pull guard but Roth won't allow it.

Evans breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Roth darts in looking for a takedown but Evans gets double underhooks and turns Roth into the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Elbert Roth. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Evans throws a series of strikes that have Roth backpedaling.


It looks like Elbert Roth has been cut.
Roth dives in for a single leg takedown but Evans sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Roth shoots for a takedown but Evans saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Evans connects with a looping right hand.
Roth fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Evans is looking for the big counter here.
Roth is breathing heavily.

Evans lands a big head kick that sends Roth tumbling to the mat! Evans takes a step backwards and waves Roth back to his feet - he wants the finish!


Roth is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Evans shoots and scores a devastating slam takedown! Roth is unconscious as Evans celebrates over his stricken foe!
