Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Quintin Faulkner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Black Fury (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, John Kavanagh and Russell Pearce.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Faulkner looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Faulkner tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Fury manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Fury clinches.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Faulkner takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Fury breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Fury drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Faulkner throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Fury shoots in and bounces Faulkner off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Faulkner is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Fury presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

Fury stops a takedown attempt from Faulkner.

Fury escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Fury wants to slow Faulkner down by chopping away at his legs.

Fury drives through with a takedown into Faulkner's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Faulkner has his hands on Fury's head, controlling the position.
Faulkner keeping moving, preventing Fury from controlling successfully.
Faulkner wants to get back to his feet but Fury is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Fury is looking to stand up but Faulkner won't let him.

Faulkner lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Faulkner drops back looking for a leg! Fury is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Fury manages to kick Faulkner off! Faulkner jumps back into Fury's guard.

Faulkner stands up and waves to Fury to follow him.

Fury instigates a clinch.

Fury gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Faulkner makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Faulkner.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Fury would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Faulkner is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Fury frees his head nicely. Oh but Faulkner has switched to an armbar! Fury is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
