The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kimura closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Lesnar quickly recovers to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kimura is looking for a kimura here.
Lesnar wants to get back to full guard.
The fighters are battling for position here. Lesnar manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Kimura drops back, looking for a kneebar! Lesnar looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Lesnar looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Lesnar!

Kimura is trying to get back to half guard.
Lesnar advances to full mount.

Lesnar looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Kimura is trying to escape the mount.
Lesnar fails to advance to Kimura's back.
Kimura is trying to reverse the position but instead Lesnar has taken his back - oops!
Lesnar will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Kimura wants to escape the position.

Lesnar working for a choke but Kimura is defending well.
Kimura rolls, trying to escape but Lesnar keeps control of the position.
Kimura breaks Lesnar's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Kimura should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Lesnar controls Kimura momentarily but Kimura frees himself.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Kimura has eaten all the pies!
Lesnar is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Kimura is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Lesnar is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Kimura defends well.
Lesnar is trying to keep Kimura in close.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Lesnar is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Kimura rolls with it to try and escape but Lesnar cranks on the arm and Kimura is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!

Brock Lesnar decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
