The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Duponte swings for the body but Atkins moves out of range.
Atkins with a lazy takedown attempt
enabling Duponte to counter with a crisp jab.
Atkins shoots for a double leg takedown but Duponte sprawls well. He's pushed Atkins's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Duponte misses with a looping left.
Atkins slips a jab from Duponte.
Duponte definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Atkins takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Duponte cracks Atkins with an open hand slap.
Atkins avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Atkins shoots in for a takedown but Duponte shows good takedown defense.
Justin Duponte has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Regin Atkins.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Atkins closes the distance and clinches up with Duponte, looking for a takedown. Atkins pushes Duponte against the cage but Duponte circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Duponte blocks a head kick by Atkins.
Atkins dives in and grabs Duponte's left leg, looking for a takedown. Duponte pushes down on Atkins's head and hops out.
Justin Duponte seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Duponte scores with a punch to the head.

Duponte lands with an uppercut that bounces Atkins off the cage and back into range.
