Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Forrest Bondurant (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Igor Vakhula (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Forrest Bondurant!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Igor Vakhula!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Ivan Kurochkin and Aleksandr Martynov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Vakhula gets caught napping as Bondurant dives in and scores a takedown. Vakhula manages to retain guard.
Bondurant postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Bondurant drops back looking for a leg! Vakhula is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Vakhula manages to kick Bondurant off! Bondurant jumps back into Vakhula's guard.
Bondurant wants to control from the top but Vakhula keeps moving.
Bondurant is really struggling to control Vakhula but he's trying to hold on to the position.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Bondurant accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bondurant stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Vakhula swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Bondurant trying to control but Vakhula is working from the bottom.
Vakhula has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bondurant is looking to work some ground and pound but Vakhula has wrist control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Vakhula keeping full guard, as Bondurant tries to pass.
Bondurant trying to control but Vakhula is working from the bottom.
Vakhula really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bondurant. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Bondurant throwing strikes from guard but Vakhula blocks nicely.
Bondurant stands up over Vakhula, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Bondurant drops back, looking for a kneebar! Vakhula looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Vakhula looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Vakhula!

Bondurant is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Bondurant wants to control but Vakhula postures up.
Bondurant tries to buck Vakhula off but Vakhula is having none of it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bondurant is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Vakhula is looking for a kimura but Bondurant is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Vakhula to get the leverage.
Bondurant is looking to control Vakhula's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Bondurant avoid being mounted?

Bondurant manages to get to full guard.

Bondurant has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Vakhula can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Vakhula drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Vakhula jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Bondurant is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Vakhula has his hands clasped together but Bondurant extends and breaks Vakhula's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Bondurant.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Forrest Bondurant!
Our winner, Forrest Bondurant, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
