Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Norbert Aguilar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Danila Babushkin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Danila Babushkin will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Vladimir Khabensky and Igor Prikhodko.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Babushkin misses with a few strikes there.
Babushkin buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Aguilar shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Babushkin napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Aguilar has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Aguilar shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
A combination from Babushkin does no damage.
Babushkin swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Babushkin throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Aguilar.
Babushkin darts in trying to clinch

and Aguilar counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Aguilar throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Babushkin pushes Aguilar off and gets back to his feet.
Babushkin darts in trying to clinch
and Aguilar counters with a flying knee. Nice.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Aguilar shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Aguilar was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Aguilar stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Babushkin throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

It looks like Norbert Aguilar has been cut.
Babushkin attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Danila Babushkin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Aguilar shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Aguilar fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Babushkin sprawls well initially but Aguilar persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Babushkin has one foot on Aguilar's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Babushkin lands a brutal head kick. Aguilar looks out on his feet and Babushkin throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!
