The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Riseman tries a low kick but Hoffman avoids it.
Hoffman slips a straight right by Riseman.
Hoffman throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Riseman stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Riseman's coach down at DiscoClub was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Riseman's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Riseman lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Hoffman works Riseman's body with a nice hook.
Butch Hoffman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Riseman misses with a jab, cross combination.
Hoffman connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Riseman's hands.
Hoffman ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Riseman moves away.

A slow jab from Hoffman misses its intended target.

Riseman closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

Hoffman waves his right hand out in front of him, looking to distract Riseman. Oh, he's unloaded a beast of a left hand - it worked! He's dropped Riseman to the canvas! Can he finish him!?

It looks like Arne Riseman has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Hoffman slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Riseman is still in real trouble! Can Hoffman finish him?
Hoffman lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Riseman down.

Hoffman lands a big left to the face of Riseman, bouncing his head like a basketball. Another shot from Hoffman and another - Riseman is out! Hoffman stands up and salutes his fans, who are going crazy in the stands.
