Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Daniello Pablo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fred Simmons (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Simmons has chosen Dog Wild Heaven as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

12 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Fred Simmons!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Simmons leaves Pablo with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Pablo tries to score a power double leg takedown but Simmons sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Pablo somewhat.

Nice sprawl there from Pablo as Simmons shoots in.
Pablo shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Simmons manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Pablo throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Simmons works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Simmons has his hands on Pablo's head, controlling the position.
We've been hearing good reports from Pablo's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Pablo avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Simmons looking for subs off his back but Pablo has passed one foot through into half guard.
Pablo content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Pablo seems to be looking for submissions.
Simmons wants to get back to full guard.
Pablo throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Simmons is looking to control Pablo's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Simmons avoid being mounted?

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Pablo looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Simmons with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Pablo lands a nice short elbow.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Pablo connects with a nice short shot to Simmons's temple.
Pablo thows an elbow strike that misses. Simmons gets hold of full guard and has managed to get a loose guillotine attempt. Pablo doesn't seem too bothered but Simmons quickly shifts his position and has tightened the hold! Pablo is in big trouble now - he's going a funny colour - he's tapping out! Nice finish there! Pablo really should have spotted the danger earlier though... either incompetence or over-confidence has resulted in a big L on his record.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Fred Simmons!
