Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jordan Kandle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Axl Clapham (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jordan Kandle!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Axl Clapham!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Clapham working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Clapham missing with knees to the body.
Clapham scores with a shoulder strike.
Kandle on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Kandle avoids a wild elbow strike from Clapham.
Kandle tries to score a body lock takedown but Clapham shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Kandle breaks from the clinch.
Some wild striking there from Clapham.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Kandle.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Clapham thuds his right hand into Kandle's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Kandle shoots in looking for a takedown but Clapham manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Kandle's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jordan Kandle. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Clapham cracks Kandle with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Clapham lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Kandle at a distance.
Clapham changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Kandle takes one to the side of the head.
Axl Clapham seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Good exchange - Clapham coming out on top.
Clapham lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Clapham scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Kandle walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Clapham scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Clapham lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Kandle manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Clapham on his heels. He'll look to pass Clapham's guard now, I'm sure.
Clapham wants to hit a switch here but Kandle passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Clapham there!
Kandle avoids the attempt from Clapham to control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Clapham tries to reverse the position but Kandle maintains control.

Kandle wants to finish this one by submission but Clapham is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Kandle.
Clapham is wriggling around trying to escape.
Clapham keeps trying to improve his position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Clapham defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Kandle.
Kandle definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Kandle working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.

Kandle working for a guillotine from mount but Clapham is in no mood to give up.
Kandle looking to control but Clapham is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Clapham wants to hold on but Kandle pushes him away.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Kandle goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Clapham is on top in guard.
Clapham wants to control from the top but Kandle keeps moving.

Kandle is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Clapham rolls with it to try and escape but Kandle cranks on the arm and Clapham is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Jordan Kandle!
During a confident post fight interview, Jordan Kandle thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
