The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A left lands for Mayweather.
Anakonda throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Mayweather's head.

and Mayweather holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Anakonda wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Horrible takedown attempt by Anakonda or perhaps it was just good defense by Mayweather, which made it look bad.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Mayweather lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Anakonda has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Anakonda and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Anakonda is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Mayweather tried to counter with a leg kick but Anakonda avoided it.

Anakonda takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Anakonda stalks Mayweather and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Mayweather's face. Mayweather staggers backwards, shaken.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Floyd Mayweather decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
