Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Gil Casey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pereira Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Gil Casey!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Pereira Diaz!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Yuuki Gou and Yukihiro Shimada.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Diaz gets a double leg takedown into Casey's guard.
Diaz controlling from the top position.
Let's hope that Diaz has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Casey looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Diaz looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

Diaz gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
The fight stays on the outside here - Casey looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Casey moves in looking to clinch but Diaz pushes him off.

Diaz fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Casey, pushing him back against the cage.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Casey tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Diaz just stands there and leans against the cage.
Casey has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Diaz avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Diaz has Casey pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Diaz pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Casey tumbling to the mat - Diaz dives into Casey's guard.

Still in the clinch, Casey scores with a nice short uppercut.
Casey really is a fat lump.
Casey is trying to break the clinch but Diaz has him pressed against the cage.

Diaz lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Diaz is controlling the pace.
Diaz frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Casey is wriggling around trying to escape.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.



Diaz closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Casey blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Diaz gets underhooks to prevent Casey's takedown attempt.

Diaz escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Diaz decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Diaz is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Casey tries to get to full guard but Diaz has control of the leg.
Diaz has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Diaz stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Casey to get to his feet.
Pereira Diaz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Diaz closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Casey quickly recovers to half guard.
Casey has hold of Diaz's hands but Diaz slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Casey is staying active underneath Diaz, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Diaz takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Casey might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Pereira Diaz showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


Diaz lands a jab to Casey's midsection.

Diaz feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Diaz drives through with a takedown into Casey's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Casey throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Diaz escapes and throws Casey's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Pereira Diaz comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Diaz has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
