The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lewis tries to land a leg kick but Boyfriend saw it coming and moves away.
Lewis throws a leg kick but Boyfriend checks it.
Lewis scoring well with a low kick there.
Boyfriend has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Boyfriend misses with a hook.
Lewis fails to land with a series of punches.
Lewis tries to score a power double leg takedown but Boyfriend sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Lewis somewhat.
Lewis looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Boyfriend is fending him off so far but Lewis persists. Nope, Boyfriend circles away and we're back to standing.
Lewis misses with a straight left.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lewis misses with a low kick.
Boyfriend connects with a body shot.
Lewis throws the left hand but Boyfriend avoids the punch easily.
Lewis scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.

It looks like Parker Lewis has been cut.
Lewis fails with the takedown
and Boyfriend counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Daniel Boyfriend has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Parker Lewis.
Boyfriend scores with a jab. Lewis acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Lewis takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Boyfriend swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Lewis slips a jab and a cross from Boyfriend.

Boyfriend gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Lewis won't allow Boyfriend to get back to his feet.
Lewis advances to half guard.
Boyfriend on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Boyfriend tries to get out of the position.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Boyfriend is trying to get back to full guard.
Boyfriend is in trouble now - Lewis has advanced to mount!

Lewis tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Boyfriend is trying to escape the mount.
Boyfriend takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

It looks like Daniel Boyfriend has been cut.
Boyfriend is squirming around, avoiding Lewis's attempts to control the action.
Lewis is landing with some decent strikes but Boyfriend is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Daniel Boyfriend's cut is getting worse.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lewis with the ground and pound from mount.

Jeez, Daniel Boyfriend's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Daniel Boyfriend's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
