Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Samwell Lance (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hannibal Rose (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lance tries to clinch up

and Rose counters with a shoot takedown. Lance fights it but they end up in guard.
Lance pulls Rose in close to prevent any damage.
Rose is pushing down on Lance's leg trying to pass to half guard. Lance is fighting to maintain full guard but Rose has managed to sneak the leg through.

Rose decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Lance tests Rose's chin there with a solid looking shot.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lance drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Rose throws a shot from downtown. Lance moves away and avoids it.
Rose misses with the combination.
Lance looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Rose takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Lance has closed the distance and engaged Rose in a clinch.
Rose is trying to break the clinch but Lance has him pressed against the cage.
Lance lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Lance lands a hook that snaps the head of Rose backwards.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Lance.
A short left from Lance.
Rose throws a head punch that misses.
Lance misses with a short punch on the inside.
Lance fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

Rose breaks the clinch.
Rose throws the left hand but Lance avoids the punch easily.
Nice uppercut lands for Lance. That snapped Rose's head back.

Lance takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Rose swats away the attempt to clinch by Lance.
A looping hook to the body misses from Rose. Lance does a little dance to reset his feet.
Lance is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Rose.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Lance cracks Rose with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Rose misses with a jab, cross combination.
Rose waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Lance.
Lance misses with a looping left.
Rose looks to score with a jab to the body but Lance is just out of range.
Lance is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Rose moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Lance tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Rose paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Rose throws a looping overhand right but Lance ducks down to avoid it.
Lance seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Lance wants to clinch.

The fight stays on the outside here - Lance looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Rose misses with a straight left.
A big left from Rose misses.

Lance closes the distance and pushes Rose back into the cage.
Rose misses with a punch on the inside.
Lance tries to throw a body punch but Rose avoids it by throwing Lance back against the cage.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Lance.

Lance pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Rose connects with a single shot there.

It looks like Samwell Lance has been cut.
Lance misses with a wild body shot.
Lance takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Lance tries to close the distance and clinch but Rose swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Lance moves out of range as Rose strikes.
Rose misses with a double jab.
Rose misses with a body shot.

Rose circles away from the clinch attempt.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Lance ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Lance lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Lance ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Rose moves away.

Lance forces Rose back against the cage and clinches.
Lance tries a body shot but Rose blocks it.
Rose looking to stall.
Rose misses with some punches.
Nice body punch from Lance - that landed with a thud.
Lance misses with the head strike.
A short uppercut from Lance.
Lance struggles to land a body shot inside as Rose controls his hands.
Lance blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Lance scores with a nice hook to the head.
Rose lands a body punch.
Lance throws a head punch that misses.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Hannibal Rose will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Samwell Lance's cut.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Rose drops Lance with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Lance looks back up at him and smiles so Rose waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Lance is still looking wobbly from the end of the last round!
Rose wobbles Lance with a right hand and the left hook that follows puts him on his rear! Rose dives in with a huge flying punch that connects right on the button and puts Lance to sleep! - What a violent and spectacular finish!
