Ruiz tries to keep at a distance but Bubbles has taken the fight into the clinch.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Bubbles has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Bubbles lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Bubbles lands with a short shot to the head.

The referee calls for Bubbles to work.
Ruiz is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Bubbles is defending well.
Our sources have told us that Ruiz has been working on his knees in the buildup to the fight.
Bubbles lands a right hand.

It looks like Victor Ruiz has been cut.
Bubbles lands a hook that snaps the head of Ruiz backwards.

Bubbles drops Ruiz onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Ruiz is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!

Ruiz is breathing heavily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Bubbles creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Ruiz with a big uppercut! Ruiz tries to clinch up but Bubbles pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Ruiz to the mat! Ruiz covers up and Bubbles unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
