Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Eric Caballero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike MIles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Eric Caballero!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mike MIles!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Saam Ante and Radbod Blank.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Caballero closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Caballero is looking to take a break and control but MIles is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
MIles regains half guard there - taking advantage of Caballero's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Caballero tries to stand and escape but MIles actually recovers to full guard.
MIles has a closed guard, preventing Caballero from standing up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
MIles is controlling Caballero's posture.

Let's hope that MIles has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
MIles told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

MIles makes his way to full guard. A much better position for MIles.
Caballero tries to stand but MIles is controlling from the bottom.
MIles is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Caballero shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Caballero was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Caballero decides to stand up, so the ref orders MIles to his feet.

Caballero rushes MIles and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

MIles has Caballero pressed against the cage, preventing Caballero from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

and MIles counters with a nice double leg into side control. Caballero won't be happy with that.

MIles goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Caballero has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for MIles but great work by Caballero.

Caballero tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Caballero has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
MIles tries to buck Caballero off but Caballero is having none of it.

MIles throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Caballero is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that MIles can do to turn this around?

MIles takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Caballero stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Caballero wants it to stay on the feet.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Caballero throws a series of strikes that have MIles backpedaling.

MIles shoots in looking for a takedown but Caballero manages to keep the fight standing, pushing MIles's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Caballero is pushing MIles's head away, looking to escape. MIles manages to hold on to the position though.

MIles thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

MIles wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Caballero, who protects the arm well.
MIles has control of an arm but Caballero manages to advance to MIles's back!

MIles staying busy and making it hard for Caballero to control.
MIles tries to break free.
Caballero gets his hands free as MIles looks to control.
MIles wants to escape the position.
MIles is still trying to improve position.
MIles looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.

MIles tries to escape but Caballero has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
MIles should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Caballero is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
Caballero seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down MIles for as long as he can get away with.
Mike MIles has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Caballero is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged MIles with him. MIles is trying to defend but Caballero has an arm under the chin now! MIles grimaces and is forced to tap out!
