Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chad Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Macho Randy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chad Smith could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Macho Randy's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chad Smith!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Macho Randy!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Daniel Franklin and Gwen Towbar.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith fails to land the takedown.
Randy slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Randy has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Randy defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Smith.
Smith closes the distance looking to clinch
and Randy counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Smith thinking.
Smith shoots in but Randy avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Randy throws out a counter right but Smith avoids it with no problem.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chad Smith. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Smith looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Smith gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Randy counters with a thumping low kick.
Randy circles away from the clinch attempt
and Randy counters with a stiff right hand.

Smith takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Randy is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Smith is breathing heavily.
Smith closes the distance and clinches up with Randy, looking for a takedown. Smith pushes Randy against the ropes but Randy circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Smith stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Randy.
Randy throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Smith on the side of the head.
No luck for Smith with that takedown attempt.
Smith dives in and grabs Randy's left leg, looking for a takedown. Randy pushes down on Smith's head and hops out.
Macho Randy is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Smith manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Randy on his heels. He'll look to pass Randy's guard now, I'm sure.

Smith throwing strikes but missing.
Smith is fighting to break Randy's control of his arms but Randy is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Let's hope that Randy has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Randy looking to hit a scissor sweep but Smith is one step ahead there.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Smith missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Smith tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Randy defends well and Smith ends up having to push Randy into the ropes where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Randy misses with a body shot.
Smith walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Smith closes this distance looking for a takedown but Randy circles away.
Randy stuffs the takedown.
Nice takedown defense from Randy. No joy for Smith on that attempt.

and Randy counters with a stiff jab, followed by a cross and an uppercut! That's too much punishment for Smith to take - he tumbles to the canvas, blood pouring from his nose, barely conscious. That's the end of the fight! Great knockout by Randy!

After winning the bout, Macho Randy thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
